The Burton Art Gallery is opening its Annual Schools Exhibition. We have a whole school piece in the exhibition linked to 'Seeing past/through labels.'
In Rockham, students worked together to build a Lego tower.
We have had some competitions in maths which has led to exploring ratio. This has included balancing a loo roll on our heads, memory tests and bean bag challenges. Some students have looked at different potions to learn about the concept of proportion.

In English we have been utilising our detective skills to uncover the identity of the "Halifax Slasher". This is Greencliff working collaboratively to recall evidence and piece together their knowledge of the case. Learners will be using this to create an article about the historic crimes soon.
Greysands have been enjoying forest school and contributing to the building of a tree house. This helps learners to learn practical skills, connect with nature and grow their communication skills.
The Student Council met yesterday to discuss break and lunchtime activities at school. They agreed it would be of benefit to have a pool table and a gym area at school; these ideas have been proposed to the Tom, Student Support Manager for consideration.
