How we support our learners

In learning support we offer intervention for students out of class or for those that may be feeling unsettled or dysregulated. Our office is a safe space where you may feel you need to come and talk to Tom or Lin.

We incentivise positive behaviour through a rewards system and student led ideas such as trips out and planned activities.

Every Friday afternoon we have Golden Time where students with the most points from the week will have first choice over a range of popular activities arranged by our dynamic team of teachers and TA’s.

Information about Thrive Intervention and LSM Office

This room is a place where students can come if they might be finding lessons overwhelming or feeling unsettled. In the room you will find Tom or Lin.

This is somewhere safe, calm and quiet where you can access many of our Thrive resources. We have many sensory items, games and puzzles. The door will always be open, this is an area we want all students to feel comfortable and able to access through the school day.

You might just want to pop in for a chat or to ask a question about how you have been progressing in the school week. You can also find out what rewards we might have planned in the future for positive engagement.

New Intervention Space

We have added new intervention space. This will be used for Thrive activities, individual and group interventions. It is great to have this extra space in the school for students to benefit from.
