This year we created an immersive learning environment within school. Each classroom had a different experience for our learners to enjoy and create a day of engaging learning. Our theme was "Alice in Wonderland", meaning that onsite we had tea parties, music to support the theme and learners were invited to dress up as any character they wished. We call our day Characters day, as we want our learners to understand how "English" helps create many forms of media they engage with. Books are hugely valued within our school community but it is vital that with recognise and include all of our learners' interests with these inspiring days.
